Fitness Motivation: How to Be More Confident and Fit

We love using our own clients to inspire other women, to start exercising, eating nutritious foods and be active. Take Alysha for example. Alysha had a dream to step on stage as a competitive bikini model. She did not have a lot of experience with exercising at the gym prior to that, but she was motivated to work hard and do whatever was necessary to achieve her goals. Despite the fact that Aly was a full time student and had a placement that she had to drive to every day for an hour and a half there and back, she never made a single excuse. She cooked her meals at home, stopped eating out, gave up alcohol and sweets completely, was working out 6 days a week at a very high intensity and was extremely focused for the length of 6 months.

This type of dedication may seem obsessive to some people, but it’s important to realize that you must make fitness a part of your life and it’s impossible to achieve any results if you exercise and eat healthy on occasion.

Consistency is the main component that stands between you and your dream body. There are no shortcuts – you have to put in daily work, if you want to get rid of extra inches, lose pounds and wear that little black dress that has been hanging in your closet for years. Talking about it will not help, so start doing something today – whether it is cooking a healthy meal or actually putting your gym membership to use (and going straight to the weight area, while deliberately ignoring cardio machines).

Be a little bit selfish and dedicate one hour a day to yourself and your health, rather than running errands for somebody else. It doesn’t matter what you are doing this hour, just make sure it somehow promotes your health and fitness. You can exercise with weights at home or at the gym, make a trip to your local farmer’s market and stock up on locally grown, organic vegetables and meat, or meditate to reduce stress. Create a calendar and plan your activities a week ahead. Make it a commitment and follow it for a month and you will see for yourself, what a great feeling it is to be healthy, fit and confident!
