HEALTHY RECIPE: ICED CAPP WITH PROTEIN

Iced capp or a Frap from Starbucks help you deal with the afternoon slump? Especially when it’s so hot outside? Bring it on!! Did you know a medium ice capp made with low fat milk has about 45g of sugar (according to myfitnesspal.com)?? Often we don’t think about these delicious drinks as the major, calorie dense enemies of our waistline, but believe me when I say it – they are evil. I am not fear mongering, I just want you to be aware!

According to Starbucks themselves, here is just a few of their drinks with their calories:

Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino Blended Coffee

Has 14g of fat (all coming from cream), a whopping 72g of carbs, mainly coming from sugar and 430 calories!

White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino Blended Coffee

Has 16g of fat, 68g of carbs and 440 calories. Here is another one:

Oprah Cinnamon Chai Crème Frappuccino® Blended Crème

Has 15g of fat, 45g of carbs (sugar) and 330 calories.

Here is a full list of Starbucks’ signature drinks with all of their macronutrient breackdowns.

So even though these drinks seem to be innocent, they are a tremendous obstacle on your way to a slimmer waist. Considering the fact that active women should eat around 2200 calories per day, one of those drinks will take up a great deal of those calories. But I am not here today to tell you not to have these decadent drinks! On the opposite, today I would like to share with you my own recipe of an iced capp that will satisfy your cravings and will provide an ample of nutrition at the same time!
