5 EASY TIPS TO GET MOTIVATED AND LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST

Motivation plays a huge role in determining your success. Let’s face it, if you have a goal, but lack motivation, you probably will not enjoy this process and will quit before you reach your goal. Some say that you need to find the source of your motivation, but most of the time this source is right inside of us. You are a fascinating and an amazing creature, so look inside and you will find the inner strength to achieve anything. Here are 5 things you can do get motivated:

Be happy. How do you just become happy? Do the things you love the most. Exercise, learn a new skill, hike, read, write, sing or whatever it is that puts a smile on your face. Sometimes, it’s hard to carve time out of your routine to do these things, we are all busy. But, we are usually busy with things that we HAVE to do, not things that necessarily make us happy. Take control in your hands and start doing the things you love for 20 minutes a day, every day. Increase the time by 5 minutes every 2 weeks. Not only you will get happier doing what you love, you will want to do more of it!

Rest. Our schedules are completely crammed with work, school, chores and the regular day to day drama, to the point where we barely have any room to breathe. We are so busy that we often forget to sleep or rest. The resulting fatigue accumulates and carries over to the next day, and then to the next one, and so on. Most of us are too tired to set any goals at the end of the day, nevermind trying to accomplish them. Is that how you pictured your life to be? What will you remember 20 years from now, when you take a look back? Get a good night of sleep EVERY night, and accomplish more EVERY day. You will wake up fresh and ready to take on anything. Here are some tips to make your sleep deeper during the night:

  • Make sure your bedroom is completely dark at night
  • Make sure there are no sounds keeping you awake
  • Make sure that your bedroom is cold at night, ideally 65 degrees (18 Celsius)
  • Attempt to get not eight, but nine hours of sleep every night
  • Take magnesium and zinc supplements. Melatonin is also a great “sleeping” supplement.

Plan. Efficiency doesn’t mean that you work long hours. In fact, if you do that you are probably not efficient, because it takes you too long to finish your tasks. Very often any task can be taken apart, analyzed, delegated and planned so that it doesn’t take up too much of your time and energy. Outline a goal, break it into tasks and think how you could make it easier to achieve. Working hard is not efficient. Working smart is.

Build a support system. Building a strong support system of good friends and family is very important for your morale and motivation. A good friend is not the one who likes to listen to you complain how hard things are. A good friend is the one who uplifts and motivates. Surround yourself with positive people and see your world transform!

Celebrate your achievements. Even if these are small achievements – celebrate them! It doesn’t have to be a big celebration, but even a small “yay!” counts. You work hard, so play hard too. Celebrating daily is a wonderful habit that will keep you motivated and focused on your tasks.

As you can see, all the tools to achieve your goals are in your hands. All you need to do is to reach inside and use them. Try the tips above and see how much you can achieve!
